Error - 'The data is set-up for version YYY. You are therefore running an old version of the software' when logging into FocalPoint Administrator after an upgrade

This issue occurs when your database has been upgraded to a newer version of FocalPoint and you are still using the old version of FocalPoint Administrator.

To resolve this, you will need to install the new version onto your computer and use that instead.

You can do this by either:

  • Contacting Support for the installation files and running through the installation yourself

  • Copying the FocalPoint Administrator folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\Access Applications\FocalPoint Administrator on a working machine, to your machine.

Please be sure to uninstall the old version on your computer first, to avoid any conflicts or confusion, regardless of which process you follow.
