This issue will happen if there already a user with the same name. To fix this issue follow the steps below
Log into FocalPoint Administrator.
Click on the menu options System Control, Security Profile
Select any profile.
Click on the Members button.
If user name is in the left window, or the user name is in the right window, and has a profile listed, there is already a FocalPoint user with that name. So try to create user again, with the user creation wizard with a modified login name e.g. FredBlogs2 instead of FredBlogs. Note the id also has to be unique.
If user name is in the right window with no profile there is already an Dimensions user with that user name. Then use the following process to create a FocalPoint user to go with the Dimensions user already created.
Log into Dimensions Accounts.
Click on Costing tab.
Click on Resource icon.
Click on Edit icon.
Enter the Resource Code and Resource Name.
Click Save icon.
Log into FocalPoint Administrator.
Click on menu options System Control, Security Profile.
Select the profile to which you wish to add the user to .
Click on the Members button.
Select the user in right hand window.
Click on Add button.
Click on Link tab.
Click on ... button next to Resource Code field.
Double click on the costing resource, that you just created
Click on the Ok Button
