In order to update or change the reports location for Crystal Reports you will require the following:
A FocalPoint Administrator account
The FocalPoint Administrator application
Once you have the above please follow the below steps:
Log in to FocalPoint Administrator with your credentials, and log into the required Database
Click System Options, Global Options, General Options
On System Paths tab, amend the System Crystal Reports Path to your desired new location
Note: The path to the reports location has to be a visible path to the FocalPoint Webservice as running on the IIS Webserver
The System Crystal Reports Path if set, is the global path which FocalPoint Web will use to search for a .rpt file relevant to the transaction type.
If no relevant .rpt file can be found here, it will revert to the default path.
It is also possible to specify Purchase Request specific locations to separate Purchase Request types in FocalPoint Administrator.
To set a specific path for a particular Purchase Request type follow the steps below:
Log in to FocalPoint Administrator with your credentials, and log into the required Database
Click System Options, Purchasing, Purchase Requests Setup
Select the required Purchase Request Type.
Click Edit
On the Posting tab, update the Crystal Report Path as required.
Note: The path must be visible to the FocalPoint Webservice as running on the IIS Webserver and must also include the .rpt file name.
For example a valid path would be: \\servername\sharedfolder\ReportsFolder\PurchaseRequest.rpt
