Error - 'User X is not permitted to edit this transaction' when approving a purchase request

This error is caused by the user not having edit permissions on Purchase Orders in Dimensions.

To fix this:

  1. Log into Dimensions

  2. Click System, Profiles

  3. Find and select the affected profile

  4. Click Edit

  5. Click the Purchase Orders section to expand it.

  6. Click the Transactions section to expand it.

  7. Select Process batch - POP Orders

  8. On the right, ensure the Edit option is enabled. If needed, click Disabled to change it to Enabled

  9. To save your changes, click Save.
