This error occurs when the FocalPoint user does not have permissions in Dimensions to create Project records. The permission is held at Security Profile level and so granting these permissions will also give them to any other users in that profile. Alternatively, you can move the user into a different profile with permissions.
To grant permission to create Project records in Dimensions, follow these steps:
Log in to Dimensions as a user with permissions to edit security profiles.
Click System, Profiles.
Use the navigation buttons to find the security profile that the user is a member of.
Click the Edit icon.
Double-click Costing to expand the Costing menu.
Ensure that there is a green tick next to Records.
Double-click Records to expand the Records menu.
Ensure that there is a green tick next to Projects.
Click on Projects to display the options in the right-hand pane.
Ensure that Project has Full Access and the Insert option is enabled.
Click the Save icon.
