Performance issues can be caused by many factors, mostly environmental. Unless you are hosted with Access, your IT team should investigate in the first instance. Areas to check include:
Does the web server hosting FocalPoint have enough free memory to operate effectively?
Does the SQL server where the databases sit have enough free memory to operate effectively?
Is there any security software on either server that is blocking anything or affecting performance?
Check Activity Monitor within SQL Server Management Studio to investigate whether there are any locks in the database and clear those locks down if possible.
If all users are in one location, confirm that the internet and network connections are fully functioning.
If users are connecting from multiple locations, confirm that the connection method is not suffering any issues.
Is anyone running heavy reports through AOI or otherwise, which could be using bandwidth?
