There can be a few different causes of the "Logon failed" error.
β
First, ensure that the username being logged in with is preceded with "CLOUD\" as leaving this off will result in FocalPoint not being able to determine that the user is in the hosted environment.
β
If that is not the cause of the error, you will need to ensure that the user exists in FocalPoint, in the database being logged into.
To do this:
Log into FocalPoint Administrator as an admin user
Click System Control, Users
Ensure that the user exists in the list and has a tick in the Enabled column
If they are not in the list, then you will need to create them as a new user
If the user definitely exists, then it could be that they are not flagged as a CLOUD or Windows Authenticated user in Dimensions. To check this:
Log into Dimensions as an admin user
Click System, Users
Find and select the user in the list and check that the Windows Authenticated check box is selected - if it is not, then Access hosted FocalPoint will not recognise them as a valid user.
Finally if none of the above resolve the error, try resetting the user's password as it may simply be that it has now expired.
β
Failing that, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article and please include details of the user affected.
