Error - 'The quantity entered is more than the quantity outstanding' when receiving goods

This error will appear if you are trying to receive a quantity of more than is left to receive.

For example if the order was for a quantity of 5 and you are trying to receive 6, the error will appear because you cannot receive that much.
Likewise, if the order was for a quantity of 5 and 3 have already been received, the system will give you this error if you try to receive another 3, because that would make a total of 6, which is again greater than the quantity ordered.

If the quantities appear to be correct, there could be a rounding error. In this case, please raise a new case and reference the title of this article and please include details of the Purchase Order number affected.
