Filter only the appropriate cost centres when using sales or cost budgets

To filter cost centres in sales or cost budgets, assign a User Subtotal value to each cost centre to distinguish between them. For example: Cost of Sales. There are two methods to set the cost centre User Subtotal.

From within Dimensions or Access Supply Chain

  1. Log in to Dimensions.

  2. Click Costing, then Projects.

  3. Click the relevant project.

  4. At the top, click Cost Centres.

  5. Click the cost centre you want to filter.

  6. Click Edit.

  7. Select a User Subtotal.

From within FocalPoint

  1. Log in to FocalPoint.

  2. Click Job costing, then Project Management.

  3. Edit the project.

  4. On the Cost Centres tab, select the Cost Centre.

  5. Click Edit.

  6. Select a User Subtotal.

Set FocalPoint to filter cost centres for sales or cost budgets

  1. Log in to FocalPoint Administrator.

  2. Click System Options > Project Management > Job Costing.

  3. On the Budget tab, in the Sales Method and Costs Method sections, set the Cost Centre filter to Cost Centre Subtotal and configure the values as needed.
