Filter only the appropriate cost centres when using sales or cost budgets

For a cost centre to be filtered there will need to be a value that distinguishes the difference in cost centres and this can be done by using cost centre User Subtotal. For example Cost of sales.

There are two methods to changes the cost centre User Subtotal.

From within Dimension or Access Supply Chain

  1. Log into Dimensions

  2. Click Costing, Projects

  3. Select a Project

  4. At the top, click Cost Centres

  5. Choose the Cost Centre that needs to be filtered

  6. Click Edit.

  7. Select a User Subtotal.

From within FocalPoint

  1. Log into FocalPoint

  2. Click Job costing, Project Management

  3. Edit the Project

  4. On the Cost Centres tab, select the Cost Centre.

  5. Click Edit.

  6. Select a User Subtotal.

To set FocalPoint to filter cost centers for sales/cost budgets:

  1. Log into FocalPoint Admin

  2. Click System options, Project management, Job costing

  3. On the Budget tab, in the section for sales method and costs method, select the Cost Centre filter to be Cost centre Subtotal and set the values accordingly.
