A user's resource name is incorrect and needs to be changed.

First of all, check that the correct Resource Code is assigned to the user as if this is wrong, the wrong persons name will show.
To check this:

  1. Log into FocalPoint Administrator

  2. Browse to System Control, Users

  3. Locate the relevant user in the list and make a note of the profile they are in

  4. Now browse to System Control, Security Profiles

  5. Select the affected users profile and click Members

  6. Select the user in the list on the left hand side

  7. In the fields below, there is a field called "Resource Code", ensure this is set to the correct user - click on the "..." button to see a more comprehensive list of details

  8. Click OK to save all changes

If the correct Resource Code is assigned and the name is still wrong then Resource names can be changed as required, via Dimensions.

  1. Log into Dimensions

  2. Click on Costing

  3. Click on Resource

  4. In the Resource List window, find and highlight the relevant resource code

  5. Click Edit

  6. Amend the Resource Name field as required

  7. Click Save

FocalPoint will automatically be updated with the new name, however if the user is already logged in, they will need to log out and back in to pick up the changes.
